KEET-HD Channel 13-1 is partnering with the League of Women Voters of Humboldt County to produce and broadcast twelve live debates. October 18 - 7:30 p.m. - Supervisorial District 5 October 19 - 7:30 p.m. - State Senate District 2 October 20 - 7:00 p.m. - Fortuna City Council October 22 - 8:00 p.m. - Crescent City District Attorney October 25 - 7:30 p.m. - State Assembly District 1 October 27 - 7:00 p.m. - Arcata City Council October 28 - 7:30 p.m. - U.S. Representative, District 1 During the debates, each candidate will present their views on important issues and field questions from viewers, who may call in with a number provided during the program. The debates will also be simulcast live on KHSU-FM (90.5). These debates are just one of many local programs presented by KEET-TV, as part of its ongoing commitment to broadcast local programming, inspire community dialogue, and connect with various local organizations. The candidate debates are presented in partnership with KEET’s co-sponsor, the League of Women Voters of Humboldt County. It is the League’s policy to invite all candidates to participate in candidate forums. The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan organization that does not endorse candidates or political parties.
